Don Vito's Italian Restaurant

Out to dinner with my Associates in Las Vegas, we decided to tryout Don Vito's at the South Point Casino. Very relaxed semi formal atmosphere. Nice decor and so forth. Well to start of we struggled with the Service, but things were rectified once we spoke with the Manager. Our Waitress and Assistant were very seasoned and took care of us well.

On the menu this evening at our table:

Garlic Marinate served with Peppered Rolls
I will tell you that I will be perfecting the marinade that came with the rolls. Chucks of Garlic, Tomatoes, Basil and Olive Oil are just a few things in this very delicious appetizer.

Stuffed Mushrooms
Mushrooms Stuffed with Sausage, Spinach and Italian Cheeses

Calamari Fritti served with Marinara Sauce
It was a little rubbery than usual, would not recommend......

Seafood Diavolo
Sautéed Shrimp, Scallops & Lobster with Linguine in a Spicy Tomato Broth. This was a hit, the combination along with the spices made this dish extremely appetizing. Toward the end the spices began to kick in so that you would remember what you had chosen. The Scallops were done just right!

Minestrone Soup - unfortunately nothing stood out on this average bowl soup. Some perfecting needs to happen

Zabaglione & Fresh Berries - this was a winner for me and the group. It was very smooth, had the right amount of berries mixed in.

If I was going to recommend, I would say it would be a "crap shoot". They have the atmosphere by lacked in the food.
